What is Robert Burns Night?
Robert Burns Night is a celebration of the life and works of the great poet, held annually on January 25th - his birthday. This special event includes a traditional Scottish supper of haggis, neeps and tatties, drams of whisky, and of course bagpipes and dancing. The evening usually culminates in a recital of a selection of Burns' works and a singalong of Auld Lang Syne. Slàinte Mhath! (pronounced "slanche 'va") "Good Health!"
